Terms & Conditions

​The purchase of a Sleep Programme Consultation (the “Consultations”) will be deemed as acceptance of the following terms and conditions:

1. The full fee for Lighten the Load Sleep Consultancy services is due on booking your Consultation with Lighten the Load Sleep Consultancy.

2. All payments must be made in full prior to the consultation date. UK-based clients are required to pay via bank transfer. International clients, or clients paying in Euros or other currencies, may be required to pay via an approved electronic payment method (e.g. Stripe or PayPal).

3. Any transaction fees or currency conversion fees applied by the payment provider are the responsibility of the client.

4. Payment is due within 48 hours of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing. Bookings will only be confirmed once payment has been received.

5. If the Sleep Programme Consultation is cancelled by the Client (the payer and receiver of the consultation) the following terms apply:
  - Less than 24 hours’ notice – no amount will be refunded
  - 24–48 hours’ notice – 50% of full amount will be refunded
  - More than 48 hours’ notice – 100% will refunded

6. If a Client demonstrates exceptional circumstances as the reason for a cancellation within 48 hours of the booking time, Lighten the Load Sleep Consultancy may, on a case-by-case basis, accept a rescheduled appointment within 1 week of the original booking time.

7. Lighten the Load Sleep Consultancy reserves the right to cancel Consultations at short notice due to personal circumstances. In such cases, the Client will be offered a full refund or alternative dates if preferred.

8. In respect of each programme (the “Programme”) granted by Lighten the Load Sleep Consultancy to the Client, the Client agrees that the Programme shall not be shared with any third party.

9. Advice given by Lighten the Load Sleep Consultancy is intended as advice related to sleep and is not intended as a substitute for medical advice from a GP or other medical expert.

10. Lighten the Load Sleep Consultancy advises to the best of their ability, experience, and training but does not accept responsibility or liability for outcomes that do not achieve the desired result following the Consultations process..

11. If the Client’s child has an underlying health condition, Lighten the Load Sleep Consultancy reserves the right not to proceed with the Consultation. A full refund will be issued in such cases.

12. Lighten the Load Sleep Consultancy’s support hours for Consultation Clients are Monday to Friday, 8am until 8pm.

13. Lighten the Load Sleep Consultancy reserves the right to cease support in exceptional circumstances, including but not limited to abuse or harassment.

14. Lighten the Load Sleep Consultancy reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.
